Under $100 Fashion

When I received my daily J. Crew e-mail today, I was ecstatic to see them focus on keeping a majority of their new line under $100.  I am a J. Crew girl and love how you can take one piece of clothing and wear it 10 different ways.  (This is what I remind myself when i shiver at the cost sometimes.)  Here are some of my favorite looks that I would love to have for Spring/Summer.  Check out the collection here. 

GOOP

I love Gwyneth Paltrow and was so excited to find her newsletter, GOOP, online.  In it she talks about her favorite recipes, locations, shops, and way of life.  Gwyneth has a way with mixing sophistication with her hippie side, and I strive to be an elegant bohemian like her!  

Also, check out this cook book she did with Mario Batali while they travelled through spain. My sister got it for me as a christmas gift and I love the intimate stories everyone tells about their favorite dishes.  If you enjoying cooking and the history of dishes, this is a great book to flip through!

Oscar Crazy

Today is the day after the Academy Awards, aka: Judgement Day.  Here are my top picks for dresses:

Maria Menounos in a gorgeous charcoal and nude Randi Rahm gown. Adore the rosettes and corseted top!  

Marisa Tomei in a pearl gray satin Versace.  She has always been one of my favorite actresses because she is such a natural beauty, love how her hair is loosely tied to the side!

Sorry I went MIA for a couple of days, life is catching up to me.  Here are my hopes for Saturday:

Brown Paper Valentine

Want to do something a little different for all your valentine's?  Check out this DIY easy idea for Twig & Thistle! Take a brown paper bag, like the one you used carry your lunch in, and print out a valentine on them.  I looks so adorable and has a vintage feel!  Then fill the bag with a gift, candy, or brownies that you made.  What an easy and affordable way to show you care on Valentine's Day!

Red Carpet? What Red Carpet?

I have to be honest,  I was a little disappointed at the fashion choices for the Grammy Red Carpet.  Sure, Taylor Swift looked pretty in her black dress, but nothing wowed me.  Therefore, if I were to choose a favorite dress of the evening the winner would have to be ... Audrina? I know she works in the music biz, but it upsets me that for the music awards, the musicians didn't rank higher on my rating because it should be their night.  I do love her hairstyle though! What was your favorite outfit of the evening?

He's Just Not That Into You...

The girls and I went to see "He's Just Not That Into You" last night, very cute. We thought the producers had placed hidden cameras in some of our friends lives because the correlation between the character and real life friend was so accurate!  So go see it with you girlfriends and then get a margarita afterwards, because you might need one.
