Compassion International

Hello All!  Since I will be unable to post the next few days I would like to encourage you to hop on over to my sister's blog, Queen Annes Lace, and follow her.  Of course, I would like for you to follow her all the time, but especially now.

Keely, not only a wonderful photographer & sister, has a heart of gold.  She travels the world with Compassion International bringing smiles to children's faces everywhere.  Right now she is in India with 5 other bloggers who will capture their trip and spread the Compassion experience.

I encourage you to learn more about Compassion here and get an up close and personal understanding here.  The 5 minutes you spend reading my posts will be well spent over at Queen Annes Lace.

What's scarier than the loudest clap of thunder you've ever heard occuring at exactly 9:00PM when the downtown church bells begin their hourly clang?

The jury is still out...

I'm stubborn...

A giant flaw in my life is stubbornness. When I become focused on wanting something, my vision can't be skewed.  Right now, I'm on the hunt for a bird and these birds are gorgeous!

Room + Pet

I want a pet.
A dog would be perfection, but right now in my life, a dog is unrealistic.  I need to be mobile and that's hard to do with a cute untrained puppy.  My next animal of choice is a bird, that lives in an antique birdcage, of course.

Needless to say, when I saw these photographs from Mark Lund I was not only aching for the design of the rooms, but over the pets too!

{Dachshund & Chandelier, what more do you need?}

{Two yellow birds in a wooden birdcage, can't you imagine it?}

{I'm in love with this curly brown pup in this simply elegant room!}

Hello Spring!

What a perfect day to use this perfectly beautiful vintage picnic basket from TheLostFound!

However, in order to do that,  I must make my closet look like this...

Out with the winter clothes & in with the spring!

The Challenge

Tonight I was challenged to think of 5 things I am grateful before I go to bed each night.  As times get much more stressful, I feel this will be a great way to wind-down before bed.  Occasionally I will share my list with you, and if you feel inclined, please share your list too.

1) Parents
2) Sunshine
3) Sorority Sisters
4) Driving with the windows down
5) Cookies

Dreaming...

Good Friend!

Sorry I have been gone so long my loves! I have been overwhelmed with graduation & finding a job; luckily, I have a friend who found some adorable products that I just have to share with you....
All of these bags come wrapped up into one small package; the perfect grocery shopping accessory from Blue Avocado.
I use clipboards religiously.  If I could meet the person who though up this ingenious device, I would be in love!  Thanks to Violet for providing a stylish version!

Thank you Christine for finding such cute & practical products!!

Letterpress Love

My sister used to work at a stationary store, and as any good little sister does, I grew to love what she did, Letterpress.  When I ran across these letterpress recipe cards from 1canoe2 on Etsy I thought of her.

However, seeing as I'm the cook of the family, I think I'll buy these for me and stay on the look-out for some cute letterpress stationary for her!

O the Monogram!

This might come as a shock, but I LOVE monograms!  It's a preppy urge I fought for many years, but I have since thrown in the white towel.  Here is a monogramed mug I would love to add to my collection:

Love this elaborate "K" from Fishs Eddy store!  I can picture myself sipping from the mug and cozied up reading a magazine, delightful!

Brown Paper Art

    I remember when I was younger going to grab my lunch from the kitchen and always admiring the new design my mother had drawn on the front of the brown paper bag.  Usually an artistic flower, I love how she made my lunch stand-out from all the rest.

    Naturally, when I ran across Ten Dollar Drawings, her brown paper bags took me back to lower school.  For only $10/bag Alicia will decorate a brown paper bag with your image of choice.  These lunch sacks truly are works of art!

Everybody Dance!

Can this please happen in real life!  T-Mobile staged a performance in the middle of a Liverpool train station, watch how everyday pedestrians start to dance along with the performers:

Thanks for sharing Free People!

Quotes L'Amour

My friend Elizabeth over at Olive My Life sent me a link to The Love Shop Etsy store.  These prints are perfect for me, ThAnKs Elizabeth!!  Here are a few of my favorites:

"Nothing is real but dreams and love."

"Life is beautiful."

"The price of love, is simply love."

Fashion Inspiration

As life seems to be catching up to me, I forced myself to slip away for a few hours and catch up on my favorite blogs.  Of course, this is for the sake of my readers as I need inspiration...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Here are some great fashion inspiration pics from The Sartorialist

I'm in desperate need for a classic trench coat!

The long men's shirt with tights and heels looks effortlessly elegant!

More blog finds coming soon!
