We all know I love healthy and versatile dishes, and this one fits the bill! The pork and pear combination makes me smile. There are no other words. Add mashed potatoes, a vinaigrette salad and sparkling view...I have officially reached my happy place.
{First, pat your pork chops dry. We chose a bone-in center cut piece about 3/4 inch thick.}
{Season with salt and pepper.}
{Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.}
{Sautee pork chops about 5 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees. Then remove and cover with foil.}
{Toss pears in 1tsp. sugar, 1/4tsp. salt and 1/8tsp. pepper.}
{Add pears to the empty pan and toss for 2 minutes, until they start to brown. Then add 3/4 cup of chicken stock. Simmer until pears soften. Remove and place pears under foil.
{Add 2 tbls of butter, 1 tbls. balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper to chicken broth. Raise to a simmer. Sauce will slightly thicken then remove from heat.}
{Plate and spoon sauce over sauteed pork and pears.}
{Add your favorite sides and enjoy!}
{A nice view never hurts either.}
